DDN Lauded as ‘Small Business Success Story’

Corporate Report Wisconsin awards DDN’s fast growth, unique marketplace position

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. – Oct. 1, 2008DDN has received a distinguished Wisconsin business award recognizing the life science service company’s recent success and rapid expansion, DDN President Ross Bjella announced today.

Corporate Report Wisconsin, in partnership with UW-Oshkosh College of Business and Associated Bank, has selected DDN as a winner of the 4th annual ‘Small Business Success Story’ awards. The honor recognizes small businesses from across Wisconsin for their recent successes overcoming adversity, achieving rapid financial gain, solid growth, implementing turnaround strategies and adapting to new market conditions.

“We’re very excited to present the Small Business Success awards along with our partners,” said Dan Newman, publisher of Corporate Report. “It’s an important part of the mission of Corporate Report Wisconsin to advocate a strong business climate and promote economic development. These companies represent the vibrant and growing part of Wisconsin’s economy.”

Bjella thanked the award organizers for the honor, as it recognizes DDN’s proven ability to launch and sustain dozens of life science companies.

“So much of DDN’s recent success lies in concentrating on the emerging and specialty segments of the pharmaceutical industry,” Bjella said. “DDN is proud to have launched more life science companies than any other third-party logistics company, along with adding an array of new services that provide far more than just warehousing and distribution. DDN’s strength lies in effectively crafting specialized long-term partnerships in a very competitive industry.”

Since 2004, DDN has doubled the size of its client list. Its service offerings include the recent launch of a highly successful Medical Information division that supports new government reporting requirements for product information, complaints and adverse events.

“The DDN credo is ‘Propelling Life Science,’ and DDN’s record is one of helping other businesses bring their life-enhancing products to market,” Bjella noted. “We are honored to be recognized as a leader in Wisconsin’s ever-growing life science industry.”

The ‘Small Business Success Story’ awards will be presented at a dinner on October 23 at Reeve Memorial Union, located on the UW-Oshkosh campus.

This is the second business honor collected by DDN within the last two weeks. DDN also recently received a Mid-Market Growth Award, presented by The Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee.
